Architectural Design
The Keller ISD Architecture program is designed to provide students advanced knowledge and skills specific to those needed to enter a career in architecture and construction or prepare a foundation toward a postsecondary degree in architecture, construction science, drafting, interior design, and landscape architecture. This pathway includes advanced knowledge of the design, design history, techniques, and tools related to the production of drawings, renderings, and scaled models for commercial or residential architectural purposes. Students participating in a Practicum in Architectural Design will gain industry related experience through real-world instruction on work ethics, safety and career-specific technical instruction.

Instructors
Jeff Taylor
Architectural Design II | Practicum of Architectural Designs
Jeff Taylor teaches Architectural Design I & II and Practicum Architectural Design, and is the lead advisor for Technology Student Association (TSA). He is also the Texas TSA State Contest Director.
Mr. Taylor graduated from the University of North Texas in 2004. He started teaching at his alma mater Caprock High School in Amarillo, Texas in 2009.
He uses 15 years of industry experience working for architecture and civil engineering firms to bring real-world opportunities to his classes.
Rebecca Morrow
Principles of Architecture I Interior Design I I Interior Design II I Practicum of Interior Design
Rebecca Morrow comes to us from Keller High School where she taught all forms of Family and Consumer Sciences classes for 19 years. She is also the advisor for FCCLA Design at KCAL.
In her free time, she enjoys shopping, event planning, Broadway musicals and spending time with her husband and two sons watching sports.
Wendy Starkey
Principles of Architecture I Architectural Design I
Wendy Starkey is the Principles of Architecture and Architectural Design I teacher at KCAL. After receiving her degree in Sport Sciences from Ohio University, she has been in education for over 16 years as a teacher and cross country/track/volleyball coach in Ohio and Texas.
Additional experience for architecture comes from teaching Civil Engineering & Architecture and personal historic home renovations. Wendy has taught Digital Media, Physical Education, Computer Science, and Engineering courses.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, and trying out new BBQ places with her husband. Her son was a graduate from Central and is currently a Corporal in the Marines.
Ed Lugo
Principles of Architecture I Civil Engineering I Solar Car I & II
Ed Lugo is a first-year teacher who teaches Civil Engineering and Solar Car. He comes to KCAL from working in manufacturing and is excited to start teaching.
He graduated from Texas A&M, Gig 'Em Aggies!
Mr. Lugo has a beautiful wife, Christine Lugo, and three awesome boys, Eddie, Robert and George. Eddie will be playing Collegiate baseball this year. They are very proud of his hard work. In his free time, his family enjoys the outdoors and likes to fish and golf together whenever they can.
