Animation
This course is designed to provide students with an opportunity to continue their education and gain valuable experience in the world of Animation. The creation and expansion of student portfolios are an essential part of the course, which will aid the student in creating a collection of work to add to their resume. Students will be exposed to a wide variety of animation projects in both 2D & 3D industry programs and be expected to master their use for projects and certification tests while in class. Included in the course is the expectation of professionalism, in both the work environment, and in meeting with clients, peers, and faculty while representing KCAL and Keller ISD.
Instructors
Brian Traughber
Animation II l Practicum in Animation
Brian Traughber teaches Digital Media, Animation II, and Practicum of Animation at the Keller Center for Advanced Learning. Brian has been a teacher for 17 years and spent the first ten years of his career teaching various history classes at both the junior high, and high school level before transitioning to teaching CTE courses.
His main goal is to ensure that his students are as “industry ready” as possible. Brian does this by keeping up with the latest trends and programs in the animation industry, and by creating lessons that not only teach the necessary skills or animation, but that can also be applied to other areas outside the classroom.
At home, Brian has been married for 17 years to his wonderful wife Lindsey, who is also an educator as a band director in Fort Worth ISD. They are the parents to three wonderful boys at home, including identical twin boys. Along with two dachshunds, Marnie and “Bossypants”, Brian strives each and every day to do the best he can to make sure the students of Keller ISD are prepared for today, and tomorrow, no matter what surprises arise.
